Keep your passport, JW202 / admission documents and a little cash ready when you leave the plane. Follow airport signs for metro, airport bus or a pre-arranged university pickup.
Contact your university’s international office as soon as you arrive. They usually help with temporary lodging, campus registration and the police residence registration required shortly after arrival.
Save your dorm address and a Chinese-speaking contact in your phone (and on paper). If you feel lost, go to the information desk and show your admission letter — staff are used to helping new international students.
